Plymouth 11th May

South West Gaffers arranged a tour of Plymouth Gin Distillery, the oldest working gin distillery in England, which started production in 1793. Some of the building dates back to the 1400s. Our tour guide, Naomi, was very knowlegable (and amusing).

We we able to sample a selection of gins, including a 20% version, Fruit Cup, and Sloe gin. At the end of the tour, we were offered either a free gin and tonic to drink or a miniature bottle of gin to take away (the Navy Strength, 57%!)

Thank you to South West Gaffers for organising a super tour.

We all gathered at the Piermasters House for supper, followed by music from the Rubber Band.
