The Adventures of LOGAN HACKETT

Logan Hackett joins the crew of Step Back in Time as they sail around Britain on the OGA 60 Round Britain Cruise.

Out of the Solent
and into the Channel,
sailed Logan Hackett
wearing his life safety jacket.

Swimming along,
and splashing around,
was Dolphina Flynn
with her big, friendly grin.

Along came a shrimper
and out of the boat,
jumped a dog, called Jack,
all hairy and black.

Jack like to play catch
he brought me his toy.
It was poor Penny Porter
Cold and soaked with seawater.

Eating fish & chips
in Fowey harbour,
along came Seamus McFly
with his small beady eye.

Anchored at Porthlysgi
Looking for puffins
We spotted a big black crow
His friends call him Noisy Joe.

In Cardigan Bay
Bottlenosed dolphins
were so excited to say,
"Happy 4th birthday, Esmé!"

In Pwllheli harbour
Logan found
A little dragon called Red.
"Will you be my friend?" he said.

"Come aboard," said Logan.
"We're on an adventure.
This boat may be small
but there's room for us all."

Noisy Joe wasn't very nice.
He wasn't very good.
He caused so much hassle
and locked poor Red in Caernarfon Castle.

Logan threw up a rope
and climbed up and up.
He tucked Red safely under his coat
and carried him back to the little blue boat.

Through the streets,
At the Manx TT,
Motorbikes roar past,
going really fast!

Logan heard a faint, "Miaow."
A stowaway on board!
It was Isla MacFayle,
A cat with no tail.

She said to Logan,
"Please take me with you.
I'd like to see some of the world."
She jumped into the cockpit and up she curled.

A highland cow
jumped on board.
It was Rory MacBornes
with a shaggy coat and two long horns.

Rain stpped play
On the Isle of Mull.
Logan took off his coat and hat
and read the story of the Tobermory cat.

Sailing along Loch Ness,
a big green head appeared.
It was Nessie, the monster of the Loch.
He gave Logan and friends quite a shock!

"Where are you going?"
Nessie asked, curiously.
"We're sailing around Britain - sometimes through the night.
We're trying to make our way back to the little Isle of Wight."

"Have you got room for me?
asked Nessie.
"I've only seen this loch.
I can make myself small
and promise to be no trouble at all."

"Climb aboard, Nessie.
Join our crew.
Meet other friends of mine.
We'll have lots of fun on Step Back in Time!"

Hundreds of swans
in Berwick Harbour
Orange beaks and long white feathers,
The mute swans live here in all kinds of weathers.

Pretty puffins rest on the waves.
One flew on board!
It was little Polly Pipskqueak,
with orange, webbed feet and a colouful beak.

The little blue boat
returned to Cowes.
It had completed its circumnavigation
The crew of Step Back in TIme had fun on their vacation.
